Yerus, I'm glad you filled in some of the details for us.....when you're "told" an answer to a prayer or request for something, that "voice" is completely different from one's own thoughts, isn't it?......At least, that's the way it is for me....that's how I recognize it's an answer......of course, the followup to the answer always backs it up....

what songs or groups were you forbidden to listen to as a jw?
were any specifically mentioned from the platform or were you counseled not to listen to a certain song?
for me it was the entire def leopard hysteria album - bad heavy metal told it was demonic, i listened to it in secret, silk's "freak me" - a virgin listening to a song about hot sex?
Everything was considered to be bad with the exception of dubdumb muse-kit and some classical music....

Estee, I saw your paintings....briefly.....then they began showing up as large blank spaces with little red x's.......but they sure were fascinating......wish I could put mine in a pic, too.....

it got me thinking, about tv shows, anything in particular you were told not to watch, being a little kid in the 70's i do remember hearing shows from the platform that we should not watch.
Everything except the news, nature documentaries and shows like 60 mins., 48 hrs., 20/20, etc.
